Inkscape not launching in Cubbli 22

Launching Inkscape gives a splash screen, but trying to open any documents leaves it hanging and it crashes shortly after. Launching it from the terminal prints out this info:

(org.inkscape.Inkscape:5031): Gdk-CRITICAL **: 10:27:27.603: gdk_wayland_window_set_dbus_properties_libgtk_only: assertion 'GDK_IS_WAYLAND_WINDOW (window)' failed

Googling this brought up some chatter on the issue, but the fixes seems to be related to updates, so I didn't know how/if I can fix it.
